In the 1st season of American Gods, several gods from many different cultures appeared , here you will know a little more about who they are.
The series focuses on Shadow Moon, a man serving three years in prison. With a few days to go until his sentence ends , Shadow ends up being released unexpectedly after his beloved wife, Laura , is killed. Afterwards, Shadow finds himself next to a man named Wednesday , who offers him a job. In the first instance, Wednesday seems to be nothing more than a cheater who needs Shadow as a bodyguard. Wednesday is making his way through the USA , bringing together all the old gods , who have now become part of American life, to face the new gods , including those related to media and technology , that are getting stronger.

The Technical Boy
In American Gods , The Technical Boy is the personification of the Internet and also represents technology . He persists in the idea that the new gods must overcome the old gods.
He has a Punk appearance and is always in new clothes when he appears. Compared to the others, he is a new god (as well as the internet) and appears to be a little hasty in his actions and ideas.
Media (Media)
In American Gods, Media is the personification of mass media and entertainment , it takes the form of the character Lucy Ricardo from the television series " I Love Lucy ".
Media is old, however, not as old as the ancient gods . During the series, in one of her appearances, she finds herself on several televisions, blinks at Shadow and talks to him.
Mr. World
In American Gods, Mr. World is the personification of globalization and leader of the new gods. It also represents espionage , secret agencies and conspiracy theories. It was created out of the Americans' obsession with black helicopters and the Men in Black.

In American Gods, together with his partner Mr. Jacquel, he runs the funeral home Ibis and Jacquel. Mr. Ibis is also the author of some stories from Coming to the Americas within the series, which explains how some gods got there.
Mr. Ibis is the Egyptian god Thoth, he is the god of knowledge, wisdom, writing, music and magic. According to tradition, also transmitted by Plato in the dialogue Phaedrus, Thotus invented ancient Egyptian writing, the Hieroglyphics, the sacred writing of Egypt and was the protective god of scribes whose function was to write.
Mr. Jaquel - Anúbis
In American Gods, together with his partner Mr. Ibis, he runs the funeral home Ibis and Jacquel . Mr. Jaquel appears in two forms, like a black dog with pointed ears and in the human form with black skin.
Anubis is the ancient Egyptian god of the dead and dying, guided the soul of the dead in the underworld , Anubis was always represented with the head of a jackal, was always associated with mummification and life.
The Egyptians believed that in the judgment of a dead man his heart was weighed on a scale and the Pen of Truth . If the heart was heavier than the feather, the deceased was eaten by Ammit , but if it were lighter the person in question could have access to paradise or the soul would return to the body.
Bilquis - Queen of Sheba
In American Gods she appears as a prostitute who devours men and women through her vagina.
The Queen of Sheba was, in the Torah , in the Old and New Testaments , in the Koran , in the history of Ethiopia and Yemen , a celebrated sovereign of the ancient Kingdom of Sheba , the most powerful kingdom in Happy Arabia.
Known among the Ethiopian peoples as " Makeda ", this queen has received different names throughout the ages. For King Solomon of Israel she was the " queen of Sheba ". In Islamic tradition she was Balkisou Bilkis .
Mr. Nancy – Anansi
Mr. Nancy is Anansi , a god of African folklore who originated in Ashanti tales who is now Ghana in Africa . He is often in the shape of a spider and is considered a spirit who knows all the stories, is a cheater and often deceives people by his stupidity.
Anansi also appears in another work by Neil Gaiman called The Children of Anansi.
Czernobog
Chernobog is a deity from Slavic mythology . His name means black god . The god of death and darkness and twin brother of Bielebog, the god of light. It has already appeared in A Night on Blad Mountain , a cartoon from Fantasia by Walt Disney , inspired by Mussorgsky's composition but with the name Chernabog .
Zorya Sisters
In Slavic mythology , the Zorya are two guardian goddesses , known as Auroras . They guard and watch the dog the day of final judgment , Simargl which is chained to the star Polaris in the constellation Ursa Minor . If the chain breaks, the dog will devour the constellation and the universe will end.
The Zorya serve the sun god Dažbog . Zorya Utrennjaja represents the Morning Star and opens the doors of his palace every morning for the departure of the sun chariot. At dusk, Zorya Vechernjaja, who represents the Night Star, closes the palace gates once again after his return.
In American Gods , Neil Gaiman includes a third sister , Zorya Polunochnaya , who represents the Midnight Star . A third sister is described in some versions of the myth, but Gaiman said he invented it for his work.
Jinn
He is not a god but a ifrit the Middle East . Ifrits is a tribe of jinns . They are very powerful. King Solomon says he has control over the ifrits .
Mad Sweeney - Suibhne
He is not a god but an entity, king of an old Irish legend . Who was cursed by St. Ronan with madness and vagrancy. In American Gods on the eve of a battle, he is turned into a bird and escapes danger. Mad Sweeney was brought to the Americas by the character Essie MacGowan , a thief who believed in her grandmother's old tales.
He is a Leprechaun and Mr. Ibis says he is the American version of the Irish tale Buile Shuibhne .
Vulcan
The Roman god of fire and forge , metallurgy and volcanoes . In American Gods he is a longtime ally of Mr. Wednesday. He created a comfortable life for himself, taking advantage of his powers for the modern world , which makes him resistant to Mr. Wednesday's plans .
Easter - Ostara
The goddess of fertility , love and rebirth in the Anglo-Saxon mythology , the Norse mythology and Germanic mythology. In the spring, hares and colored eggs were the symbols of fertility and renewal associated with it.
In American Gods Ostara is visited by Mr. Wednesday and Shadow , to be recruited in the fight against the new gods.
Low Key Lyesmith – Loki
The god or giant of Norse mythology. God of trickery and mischief , he is also connected to magic and can take any form he wants. It is often considered a symbol of evil , treacherous , of little confidence .
In American Gods he appears in the first episode as Shadow's cellmate .
Mr. Wednesday – Click and find out who he is!
Mr. Wednesday is the leader in the war against the New Gods . In America , he is a con man who ends up meeting Shadow on a plane. After Shadow leaves prison, Mr. Wednesday hires him as a coast guard .
